🌛 1.9 Tdi Egr Valve Leaking Oil

PostedJune 4, 2018. My Audi A3 TDi went in for its MOT and they noticed there was an oil leak that could only be seen looking from the bottom upwards. On further investigation it appears to be coming from the timing belt area. So is it likely to be the camshaft or crankshaft seals ? TDI 2015 Passat TDI. Nov 10, 2020. #1. I've been trying to research this oil leak of mine, narrowed it down to a few things. I have a 2015 Passat tdi with 76k miles. Over the last 15k miles, I noticed I've been losing some oil. So, I put the assembly in a vise and worked on it with a hacksaw. Then I used the bench grinder/buffer to finish up. Car Audi A4 Avant. 2003 1.9 tdi 130 hp. AVF. I have a oil leak. And it's driving me crazy. Just changed the valve cover gasket. And cable loom. I thought I maybe came from a bad head gasket. But no. It comes out on the bottoms bolt on the exhaust manifold. Early year 2.0 TDI engines are notorious for this serious problem. It is advised to purchase a later car, where the serial number ends in ‘B’, rather than ‘A’. So I replaced the Tandem pump last week and I cleaned out the EGR and butterfly valve (very dirty). I've read that the Tandem pump might be the issue for the fuel/oil coming together, might it also be losing it's vacuum and causing the fuel to loose Itook it out for a drive with the EGR unplugged and the turbo seemed to spool up faster but surged a bit. I reconnected it and cleared 2 DTCs out. I expected to see at least 1 but 2 was a bit of a shock. Shop is suggesting an EGR delete and cooler removal with a tune when I have the oil soaked heater hoses replaced. hayup.
